The most common site for bone marrow puncture is the posterior superior iliac spine. This part is close to the body surface, easy to obtain materials, and because there are no important organs, blood vessels and nerves nearby, the operation is the safest. There may be a little pain during bone marrow puncture, and we will use a small amount of local anesthetic. After the puncture, you only need to press the puncture site for a few minutes to get out of bed and move freely. It is best not to get water on the puncture site within three days. If there are signs of infection such as local redness and swelling on the puncture site, you need to go to the hospital for further treatment.
