The commonly used inner hole machining methods are spiral interpolation milling, circular interpolation milling, interpolation milling or Z axis milling. Its characteristics are:
Spiral interpolation milling: oblique milling with a milling cutter into the workpiece blank or has been processed out of the pre-hole. Then in X/Y circular motion along the Z axis spiral down milling, to achieve reaming machining.
Circumferential interpolation milling: milling cutter around the outer or inner diameter of the pre-hole has been processed to the full tooth depth of the cutter milling, to achieve reaming machining.
Insert milling or Z-axis milling: by inserting and cutting along the shoulder wall of the workpiece step by step, machining (drilling) a new hole while milling out the concave cavity.
