Brachial plexus block anesthesia puncture needle injury
Nov 22, 2022
Brachial plexus block puncture needle has several different tissue methods, such as intermuscular sulcus approach, supraclavicular, subclavian vascular, axillary and so on, and its anesthesia complications are also different.
Cervical brachial plexus block :① ulnar nerve block sometimes delayed effect; (2) Bilateral block should not be applied simultaneously; ③ Transient Horner syndrome may occur; ④ A few patients may have phrenic nerve block.
Intermuscular sulcus block: (1) ulnar nerve block starts late, and sometimes needs to increase the volume of liquid before it is blocked; (2) There is a risk of straying into the subcobweb space or the epidural space; ③ There is the possibility of vertebral artery injury; (4) It is not appropriate to block bilateral phrenic nerve or recurrent laryngeal nerve at the same time, so as not to block bilateral phrenic nerve or recurrent laryngeal nerve.
