Air-cooled radiator

Air-cooled radiator is the most common CPU radiator in our installed machine. It is generally composed of copper tubes, cooling fins and cooling fans.

Air-cooled radiator

The operation principle of the air-cooled radiator: THE CPU is connected to the radiator base, and the silicon grease is used as the heat conduction material. The role of the silicon grease is mainly to fill the gap between the CPU and the radiator base. When the processor runs and generates a lot of heat, the air-cooled radiator conducts the heat to the cooling fin through the copper tube. The air flow generated by the rotation of the fan takes away the heat transmitted from the CPU to the fin, and finally reaches the role of cooling the CPU.

The air-cooled radiator can be judged from three aspects: First, the air-cooled radiator can be judged by the number of heat pipes. The heat dissipation of a CPU heat sink mainly depends on heat pipe heat conduction and fan heat dissipation, so the number of heat pipes can largely determine the quality of the heat sink. Second, the thermal conductivity of copper is very good, the most suitable for heat conduction, but the price of copper is relatively expensive, so the base of all copper basically only appears in the middle and high end OF the CPU radiator. Third, the heat pipe heat to the fin, through the fin heat out, so the quality of the fin determines the QUALITY of the CPU radiator, the more dense the fin, the worse the heat dissipation, the more fin, the better the heat dissipation, the greater the fin area, the better the heat dissipation, the thicker the fin, the worse the heat dissipation.
