The main idea to solve the aluminum chip sticking is:
1, change the cutting speed. Generally, the sticky chip is only present in one speed zone, avoiding this zone can avoid the sticky chip. To ensure efficiency, many tool users are willing to increase cutting speeds when technology permits. Diamond (PCD) cutting tools or diamond coated, diamond-like coating (DLC) cutting tools provide technical guarantee for improving cutting speed when machining aluminum casting.
Moreover, diamond tool life is long, as long as the processing batch is large enough, it is economically worthwhile.
2, the tool before the tool surface polishing. After polishing the front tool surface reduces the friction heat between the aluminum chip and the front tool surface, and the sticky chip is the chip is welded to the front tool surface under a certain pressure and a certain temperature, polishing reduces the temperature, reduces the possibility of sticky chip.
3. Increase the front Angle. Increasing the rake Angle reduces the positive chip pressure on the rake surface. And notice here that this is the working Angle. If the knife has chamfering, when the cutting layer is thin, it will form the actual chamfering as the cutting task, and the chamfering front Angle becomes the actual working front Angle. The main casting aluminum boring, the general margin is small, this point should pay special attention to. Suggestions such as the use of carbide tools, simply do not chamfering.
4. Use a coating tool. This is also a way to reduce cutting heat. Aluminum coating is not recommended, TiB2, diamond (such as CCDia), DLC coating is recommended.
