The processing technology properties of materials mainly include: casting, pressure processing, cutting processing, heat treatment and welding. The quality of its processing performance directly affects the quality, production efficiency and cost of the parts. Therefore, the process performance of the material is also one of the important bases for the selection of materials.
(1) Casting performance: Generally refers to alloys with low melting point and small crystallization temperature range to have good casting properties. Such as: alloy co-crystalline composition casting is the best.
(2) Pressure processing performance: refers to the ability of steel to withstand cold and heat deformation. The signs of good cold deformation performance are good formability, high quality of processing surface, and it is not easy to produce cracks; The signs of good thermal deformation performance are good ability to accept thermal deformation, high oxidation resistance, large deformable temperature range and small thermal brittle tendency.
(3) Cutting performance: tool wear, power consumption and surface finish of parts are the signs of evaluating the cutting performance of metal materials, and are also one of the important bases for reasonable selection of materials.
