Its internal pressure bearing performance is the same as flat welding flange, worse than butt welding flange, the fatigue life of butt welding flange is only 10%, can not be used in the occasion of alternating stress. Flat welded flanges are suitable for piping systems with low pressure level and no serious pressure fluctuation, vibration or shock. The advantages of flat welded flange are easier to align in the welding assembly of flat welded flange, and the price is cheaper, so it has been widely used.
