Side Effects Of Liver Puncture Needle
Dec 30, 2022
Side effects of the liver puncture needle may be local pain, including discomfort at the biopsy site, pain radiating to the right shoulder and transient upper abdominal pain, which are normal conditions and can be appropriately analgesic treatment. Only a very small number of patients have clinically significant bleeding after puncture, which may be in the abdominal cavity, the chest cavity, or the liver. Biliary peritonitis occurs when bile leaks from the liver or penetrates the gallbladder. Most complications occur within 3 hours after biopsy.
Percutaneous liver biopsy has a history of more than 100 years. In recent years, due to the improvement of puncture instruments and operation methods, as well as the formulation of strict indications and contraindications, percutaneous liver biopsy has obtained better specimens and is relatively safe.
