Plasma cutting

A high-speed method of cutting most common metals by precisely controlled arcs. Small vents and high-speed gas streams can create extremely hot arcs with high energy density. Plasma cutting and gouging require process gases (such as air or nitrogen), power sources and consumables (including electrodes and nozzles). Plasma cutting is a good choice when people need to cut a range of different kinds of metals. In fact, that's the main selling point of plasma cutting: versatility. It can cut most kinds of metal (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, etc.), even rusty, painted or dirty metal. Plasma can also cut mesh metal. In addition, it is equally good at cutting thick and thin metal. The disadvantage of plasma cutting is that its equipment cost is higher than flame cutting, and while the cutting quality is good and consistently stable, it is not as good as laser cutting for thinner materials.
