Coagulopathic patients​ (e.g., thrombocytopenia, hemophilia) require hematology consultation pre-biopsy for platelet/coagulation factor replacement and 24-hour postoperative monitoring. For anticoagulated patients (warfarin, aspirin), observe appropriate washout periods: aspirin cessation for 5–7 days; warfarin cessation for 3–5 days with INR <1.5.
