Intrahepatic bile duct calculi is a type of bile duct calculi, which refers to the calculi in the bile duct of the branches above the confluence of the left and right hepatic ducts. It can exist alone or in conjunction with extrahepatic bile duct stones. It is usually bilirubin stone. Intrahepatic bile duct calculi are often accompanied by extrahepatic bile duct calculi. This disease can cause serious complications and is an important cause of death from benign biliary diseases. Intrahepatic bile duct calculi can diffuse in the intrahepatic bile duct system, and can also occur in a liver lobe or segment of the bile duct, and the left lobe is significantly more than the right lobe. The symptoms of the patients are generally not typical, in the course of the intermittent period asymptomatic, or only presented with mild discomfort in the right upper abdomen; In the acute phase can appear acute suppurative cholangitis symptoms (jaundice, chills, fever, etc.). The diagnosis of intrahepatic bile duct calculi is complicated. In addition to the clinical manifestations of patients, B-ultrasound and percutaneous cholangiography (PTC) can also be performed to show the distribution of intrahepatic bile duct calculi and the narrowing and dilatation of hepatic bile duct. In addition, CT examination also has important diagnostic significance for intrahepatic bile duct calculi, especially for patients with biliary cirrhosis and cancer. Intrahepatic bile duct stone is often complicated by bile duct obstruction, which is easy to induce local infection and secondary bile duct stenosis, so that the stone is difficult to discharge by itself, and the disease is prolonged and not cured.
