Improvement Of Percutaneous Hepatocentesis Cholangiography (PTC)

To enable PTC, an important diagnostic technique, to be performed and to reduce complications in hospitals without television monitoring or B-conduction, the authors improved the equipment and puncture methods. First, the use of 5 ~ 6~# kidney capsule sealing needle, under the X-ray screen. Second, the lower liver margin was marked by the transitional line of the contrast between the liver and the lower liver intestine on the fluorescent screen. The puncture needle travels over an area 3 ~ 4cm above the marked line. Thirdly, the puncture was moved from the 7th intercostal to the 9th or 10th intercostal in the right axilla, and the tip of the needle was moved from the upper margin of the 12th thoracic vertebra to the xiphatic process (preset with lead marks).
