Transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy uses ultrasound-guided biopsy needle to reach a specific location of the prostate and to obtain tissues required for pathological diagnosis.
Indications: Needle biopsy should be performed in men with suspected prostate cancer, including men over 40 years of age who have:
(1) prostate specific antigen (PSA) over 4ng/dl
(2) anal digital diagnosis of prostate nodules
(3) Abnormal prostate ultrasound examination
(4) Metastatic adenocarcinoma, whose primary lesion is suspected to be prostate
