Intraosseous Infusion Needle
Endoosseous intubation is a rapid acupuncture and is a relatively safe technique used to quickly obtain vascular access in critical situations. It uses the bone marrow space of the long bone as an "uncollapsible vein" and facilitates the rapid absorption of administered emergency medications and fluids into the systemic circulation. Sucking blood can also be used to check hemoglobin, electrolytes, glucose, blood cultures, and cross matches.
