The positive predictive value of thick needle biopsy 100%, so unnecessary surgery can be reduced. There are no independent risk factors associated with uncertain results. These findings indicate that coarse needle aspiration biopsy is an excellent diagnostic tool for patients with initial examination of thyroid nodules."
