Procedure of liver puncture needle biopsy
Jan 02, 2023
Liver puncture biopsies should be performed in a hospital by a specially trained physician. At present, the most commonly used method is "one-second" liver puncture. The specimens obtained by puncture are 1 ~ 2cm long and about 1mm in diameter. They are first placed on absorbent paper and then fixed in 10% formaldehyde and sent to the pathology department for examination. The advantage of this method is that the puncture needle stays in the liver for a short time
