Procedure for intramuscular needle operation

(1) Prepare all kinds of things and take them to the bedside, check and explain to the patient so as to obtain cooperation.

(2) Help the patient take the appropriate position, disinfect the skin with 2% iodine and 70% ethanol or 3% complex iodine alone, and let it dry.

(3) Exhaust the air in the syringe from which the drug is drawn.

(4) Separate the skin with the left thumb and index finger, hold the needle with the right hand like holding a pen, and fix the pin with the middle finger. Needle and injection site through MP, quickly into the muscle, generally about 2.5~3cm into the needle (2/3 of the needle, emaciated and sick children to reduce).

(5) Loosen the left hand and pump the piston. If there is no blood return, fix the needle and inject medicine. After the injection, press the dry cotton swab into the needle and pull out the needle quickly.

(6) Help client lie in comfortable position. Cleaning products.
