Precautions for injection of bone marrow biopsy needle

1. Do procaine skin test before surgery, and lidocaine can be used for positive patients.

2. The coagulation time should be measured before puncture, and the operation of patients with bleeding tendency should be cautious.

3. The puncture needle and the suction syringe must be dry to avoid hemolysis.

4. Before surgery, check whether the puncture needle is firm, and avoid swinging too much after the puncture needle enters the bone to prevent it from breaking.

5. The puncture direction of the puncture needle must be parallel to the bone marrow cavity in order to facilitate the removal of bone marrow tissue, but also to avoid penetrating bone and damaging adjacent tissues and organs.

6. Suction of bone marrow fluid should not be too much, so as to avoid the dilution of bone marrow fluid, which affects the judgment of hyperplasia, cell count and classification results.

7. The bone marrow fluid should be smeared immediately after extraction, otherwise it will solidify quickly and make the smear failure.

8. When taking bone marrow specimens, strive to be light and dexterous to avoid pressure on the tissues.
