Polymeric Materials

 

Polymeric materials mainly include polytetrafluoroethylene, acrylic esters, etc. This type of material is susceptible to aging and degradation in bodily fluids, potentially generating substances that may be irritating to the organism. The long-term effects of prolonged implantation in the human body remain a subject of debate. Currently, there is a consensus that combining the excellent properties of metal with dental implant materials and coating the surface with biocompatible materials can ensure both the precision and strength of the implant while maintaining favorable biocompatibility. Due to the protective nature of this oxide layer, the rate of continued oxidation slows down, imparting excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and biomechanical adaptability in contact with the human body.
