Liver cancer ablation needle puncture at most several times
Feb 03, 2023
If patients with liver cancer take radiofrequency ablation, they can do it for 2-3 times at most. If the number of radiofrequency ablation is very large, it is easy to cause liver cell necrosis and liver failure. At the same time, radiofrequency ablation of liver cancer should be jointly decided based on the patient's recovery after each ablation. The liver cancer after the first ablation should be evaluated for 3-6 weeks. If the effect is satisfactory, the residual liver cancer cells can be ablated for a second time 2 months later. At the same time, some targeted therapy or interventional therapy such as TACE can also be adopted after the ablation process. The combined treatment effect of these methods may be relatively ideal for liver cancer, with a relatively high cure rate. The majority of patients with general liver cancer are large liver cancer, or inoperable ablation surgery. Therefore, even after ablation, the prognosis of the patient is not particularly ideal, and the treatment plan should be adjusted according to the etiology or changes of the patient.
