2. Surgical treatment

Slow endogenous regeneration can be obtained from full-thickness cartilage defects without reaching the medullary cavity, and the regenerated cartilage is hyaline cartilage. ③ The cartilage was cut to bone and drilling to remove the diseased full-layer cartilage. The exposed bone was drilled several holes with Kirschner needle, resulting in bone bed bleeding and full-layer defect of articular cartilage deep into the medullary cavity. Exogenous repair of mesenchymal tissue from the medullary cavity could be obtained.
