How long to recover after cardiography?

Aug 19, 2022

"Cardiography is a commonly used minimally invasive technique, which generally refers to coronary angiography. Coronary angiography is performed by puncturing the radial artery of the upper limb or the femoral artery of the lower limb. Then the arterial sheath was inserted at the puncture point, and the angiographic catheter was introduced through the arterial sheath, and the angiographic catheter was delivered to the coronary artery of the heart through the vascular access.

There is no clinical question of how long to recover from cardiography. Cardiography is really just a test that does very little to the body. How much of an effect depends on the vascular approach, typically radial and femoral approaches.

Coronary angiography with a radial approach can be walked back to the ward at the time of angiography with basically no significant impact. However, it will take about 6 hours to remove the radial artery compressor. During this time, we should pay close attention to whether there is bleeding and hematoma at the puncture point.
