How does thyroid nodule do puncture?
Dec 10, 2021
Thyroid fine needle puncture is generally used with very thin needles, 22-25g, just like the needle of a buttock needle, and even thinner than that. It is required to Pierce the needle into the target nodule under the guidance of ultrasound, and extract thyroid cells under negative pressure for pathological examination. The advantage is that the wound is minimal, and no pinholes can be seen in the skin.
