Dec 20, 2022
You should not drink alcohol 3-5 days before the puncture to prevent adverse reactions between alcohol and anesthetic drugs. You need to take a bath before the puncture, because the puncture site should not be stained with water for about 1 week after the puncture.
It is best not to eat or drink 6-8 hours before puncture to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by side effects of anesthetics. After puncture, the puncture site should reduce activities to prevent bleeding. If there is bleeding, press for at least half an hour, depending on the puncture site and depth.
6 hours after puncture, you can drink a small amount of water and eat light food with the doctor's permission, do not do too strenuous exercise, appropriately increase the rest, and eat some fish, shrimp, fresh green vegetables, etc., in order to promote wound healing. For other precautions, you need to consult and communicate with the attending physician.
