Ablative surgery is a minimally invasive procedure in which the patient is treated with a catheter and a guide wire inserted into the breast nodule without an obvious incision. Ultrasound-guided monitoring ablation is a new and reliable method for ultra-micro invasive treatment of thyroid nodule with accurate location, strong target, less trauma and accurate effect, which is better than traditional resection.

Ablative therapy is to make the lesion necrotic in its original position and gradually shrink until it disappears. The original lesion is replaced by normal thyroid tissue. Therefore, the patient must first be prepared that the nodules will remain for some time after treatment.

There are obvious individual differences in the absorption process after ablation, and the absorption rate is different, which is related to the immune function status of patients and the size of the original lesion. However, do not worry, most nodules will disappear after one year of follow-up, and individual patients will be extremely slow to absorb the ablation necrotic area, which can exist for several years without any adverse effects on patients.
