Treatment: a. Scratches with shallow wounds and small areas: apply 2% iodine tincture directly after cleaning with normal saline. It is not necessary to wrap it and expose it to air. B. Abrades with foreign bodies in the wound: rinse the wound with normal saline or tap water, disinfect the wound with hydrogen peroxide, 75% alcohol around the wound, and then treat the wound with anti-inflammatory powder and sterile dressing. C. Deep wounds and severely contaminated abrasions: In addition to disinfection, dressing and other treatments, tetanus antitoxin serum (T.A.T) should be injected. D. Abrasions on joints: after disinfection, apply anti-inflammatory ointment or antibiotic ointment and cover with sterile dressing, generally without exposure therapy. Note: Gentian violet should not be used on the face/joint. Iodine tincture should not be used for large wounds. Alcohol, red mercury and iodine tincture should not be used together. Change dressing for infected wounds daily or every other day.
