The surface treatment of aluminum alloy die casting is divided into pre-treatment and post-treatment. The pre-treatment is to remove the surface oxide scale and oil stains, increase the post-treatment adhesion and improve the appearance effect. The most commonly used surface pretreatment of aluminum alloy die casting is shot blasting, sandblasting and phosphatizing, and the post treatment is generally used in spraying, oxidation, electroplating and electrophoresis. Other surface treatments should only be applied to products with special requirements for cost reasons.
In terms of cost, the pre-treatment is shot blasting → sandblasting → phosphatizing → polishing, spraying → electrophoresis → oxidation → electroplating. After phosphating can only be sprayed, electrophoresis, can not do oxidation, electroplating treatment.
In terms of decoration and corrosion prevention, the pre-treatment is polishing → phosphatizing → sandblasting → shot blasting, oxidation → electroplating → spraying → electrophoresis.
Automobile engine shell generally adopts shot blasting → spraying treatment.
