1, 304 L: low carbon so more corrosion resistance, easy heat treatment, but poor mechanical, suitable for welding and not easy heat treatment products.
2, 309 S: with a large amount of chromium, nickel, so heat resistance, oxidation resistance is good, used for heat exchanger, boiler components, jet engine.
3, 316: with better chloride corrosion resistance, mainly used in food industry, watch accessories, pharmaceutical industry and surgical equipment.
4, 316 L: low carbon so more corrosion resistance, easy heat treatment, used for chemical processing equipment, nuclear power generators, refrigerating agent storage.
5, 440: high strength cutting tool steel, slightly higher carbon content, after appropriate heat treatment can obtain higher yield strength, hardness can reach 58HRC, belongs to the hardest stainless steel. The most common example of this application is the "razor blade".
