What Is Puncture Biopsy Needle
Jan 10, 2023
Puncture biopsy is to obtain tissue from bone tissue or tumor and diagnose disease through pathological detection. It is one of the most commonly used methods to diagnose malignant tumor clinically. Clinically, if a patient is highly suspected to have a malignant tumor, a biopsy can be used to target the tumor for puncture, or if a hematological disease is suspected, bone marrow can be obtained from the bone, and the corresponding basis for diagnosis can be obtained through histological examination or smear of the bone marrow. Its advantages include less harm to patients, simple operation, and greater safety. Its disadvantages are that the tissue collected is relatively small, or when the doctor is inexperienced and the sampling site is inappropriate, the tumor tissue cannot be obtained, and it is easy to misdiagnose or miss diagnosis.
