What Does Pathological Biopsy Needle Mean
Dec 24, 2022
The purpose of biopsy needle is to determine the pathological nature of the tumor and send the biopsy tissue to the pathology department for examination. Different parts of the tumor have different pathologic biopsy routes, such as the nasopharyngeal pathologic biopsy, through the nasopharyngoscope. The pathological biopsy of the stomach is done by gastroscopy, the pathological biopsy of the intestinal cavity is done by colonoscopy, and the pathological biopsy of the bladder tumor is done by cystoscopy. There are also some pathological biopsies of the internal organs that need to be biopsied by biopsy needle under B-ultrasound or CT localization. It is only on the basis of the pathological biopsy report that it is clear whether the tumor is benign or malignant in nature. Thus, the next treatment plan can be developed. It can be said that pathological biopsy is often the first step of anti-tumor therapy.
