Electrochemical Machining (ECM) and Grinding

Electrochemical machining (ECM) is used to machine extremely difficult or difficult-to-machine conductive materials. When using the ECM, the cut produces a burr-free finish that can hold very tight tolerances of +/- 0.005" in length and +/- 0.003" in squareness.

Electrochemical Grinding (ECG) is a process that removes conductive material by grinding with a negatively charged grinding wheel, a positively charged workpiece, and an electrolyte. ECG allows a variety of shapes and forms to be created in a single operation to ensure consistency in the finished part. The process is very fast and efficient due to consistency and precise repeatability.
