Titanium Engine Connecting Rod
Titanium is the ideal connecting rod. Engines made of titanium alloy connecting rods can effectively reduce engine quality, improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Titanium connecting rods can reduce mass by 15% to 20% compared to steel connecting rods.
The application of titanium alloy links was first demonstrated on the new Italian sedan 3.5LV8 and the Acura NSX engine. Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al, Ti-3Al-2V and Ti-4Al-4Mo-Sn-0.5Si are the main materials of titanium alloy connecting rod.
