Jan 31, 2023
The specific number of times of nerve block injection needs to be determined according to the treatment effect of patients and different injection locations. Usually, three needles are used as a course of treatment. After receiving a course of treatment, if the symptoms are significantly relieved, the patient can no longer inject; otherwise, it is necessary to continue to perform nerve block treatment according to the course of treatment.
Nerve blocking needles inject drugs around the nerves of patients to numb the nerves near the injection site to block the conduction of nerve impulse, so that the innervated areas can be anesthetized. They are mainly used to relieve pain that may occur during and after treatment, such as pain after surgery, pain during childbirth, and pain caused by cancer.
Nerve block needles are usually given in a course of three needles, five to six days apart. Because each patient's constitution and severity of the disease are different, after a course of nerve block treatment, the injection can be temporarily stopped, and the therapeutic effect and patient's performance can be observed. If the patient's pain is significantly relieved, there is no need to continue the injection.
In nerve block treatment, patients need to pay attention to rest, fully relax the nerve, do not be too tired, do not do strenuous exercise, so as not to affect the therapeutic effect. In daily life, patients also need to maintain a light diet, avoid eating spicy, stimulating, cold food, to avoid the body because of food stimulation endocrine disorders, allergies and other adverse phenomena.
