Procedure Of Prostatic Puncture Biopsy Needle
Jan 13, 2023
At present, there are mainly two approaches: transrectal puncture and transperineal puncture. In our hospital, transperineal puncture is mainly guided by ultrasound. It is usually performed by a urologist and an sonographer.
1. First of all, the patient will be asked to take the bladder lithotomy position: supine on the back, legs bent apart lying on the bed;
2. Place the ultrasonic probe into the rectum (there will be discomfort during the operation, and there will be some pain for patients with hemorrhoids;
3, routine disinfection towel;
4, anesthesia (with 1% lidocaine in the perineum: that is, the position between the anus and testis) for local anesthesia, may feel a little pain during the period, but generally as long as not long-term alcoholic patients, the effect of local anesthesia drugs quickly and obvious, so that after the puncture operation basic feel no pain);
5. In puncture operation, 8 to 10 needles are generally taken from the specimen (if there are obvious nodules, the positive rate can be increased by additional puncture on the nodules);
6. Cover the puncture wound with gauze after the operation, and remove the gauze one day after the puncture.
The patient may feel dizzy after sitting up because of postural hypotension or anesthetic reaction, which is a normal reaction.
The operation time is about 20 minutes in total.
