The time of puncture surgery is usually 30 or 40 minutes, it is a relatively short surgical operation. The specimens will be sent to the pathology department for pathological examination after surgery. Patients have different testing needs and waiting time. It takes about two or three days to get a test result if you just decide whether it is lung cancer or not.
Finding out which type of lung cancer it is, including whether it can be treated later with targeted drugs, could take another three to five business days, or one to two weeks overall.
