Complications Of Liver Puncture Needle
Dec 30, 2022
Generally speaking, liver puncture needle can be used to treat cysts and liver abscesses. Some elderly and frail patients may not be suitable for general anesthesia surgery, but pathological examination results of suspected patients need to be obtained clinically. For example, if solid tumors appear on the liver of patients, but its nature is not clear and doubtful, puncture can be performed. Sometimes a patient with a liver abscess may need puncture drainage. Common complications of liver puncture drainage are as follows:
1. Bleeding: Because the liver itself is an organ formed by blood sinuses, bleeding may occur in the process of puncture;
2. The puncture location is near the lower right, and sometimes the puncture may reach the chest cavity, forming some pleural fistula, or pneumothorax, empyema, or even some unexpected massive bleeding in the patient, which requires urgent treatment;
3. During the puncture process, the puncture position is relatively low, which may cause some other side injuries, such as the puncture to the patient's gallbladder and right kidney.
