Product Show

1. Insert the rounded tip of the catheter into the epidural cavity via the epidural needle which has been placed according to the “hanging drop” or “loss of resistance” method.

2. Insert and slowly advance the catheter while holding the epidural needle in place.

3. While holding the catheter in position, withdraw and completely remove the epidural needle.

4. Insert and advance the opposite end of the catheter into the sheath until the mark at the tip of the catheter can be clearly seen through the window in the hub.

5. While holding the sheath and winged hub, hold the catheter in place and gently screw the hub clockwise until the catheter is securely fastened.

6. Secure the protruding portion of the catheter to the patient’s body.

7. Remove the cap at the end of the hub and begin with the administration of the anaesthetic drug.
