Generally, the posterior superior iliac spine or anterior superior iliac spine of the human pelvis is selected for bone marrow puncture, because there are usually no large blood vessels or large nerve trunk around these parts, which is relatively safe. If the puncture specimens of the posterior superior iliac spine or anterior superior iliac spine are not satisfactory, sternal puncture can be selected when necessary. Infusion needle is generally carried out under local anesthesia, which does not do much harm to the human body, so there is no need to worry too much.
