Dec 02, 2021
One, the method is different
1. Subcutaneous injection: Inject the medicinal solution into the subcutaneous tissue.
2. Intradermal injection: Inject the drug below the epidermis of the skin.
Two, the location is different
1. Subcutaneous injection: The commonly used injection sites are the upper arm and the outer thigh.
2. Intradermal injection: Generally, it is above the dermis and not in the subcutaneous tissue.
Three, different uses
1. Subcutaneous injection: If insulin is taken orally in the gastrointestinal tract, it is easily destroyed by digestive enzymes and loses its effect, while subcutaneous injection is quickly absorbed.
2. Intradermal injection: Intradermal injection is a method of injecting medicinal solution between the epidermis and the dermis. It is mainly used as a pioneering step for skin allergy tests, vaccination and local anesthesia.
