What are the complications of needle biopsy
Dec 09, 2021
Bleeding is the most common problem encountered in any trauma examination. Besides bleeding, the most common complication of lung puncture is pneumothorax. Generally speaking, a pneumothorax is when air from the outside enters the chest cavity, like a nail in a tire that leaks air. If the lung tissue is more elastic, it can push air out of the chest cavity. If the patient's lung function is very poor, his venting function is impaired, and the leakage of air in the chest cavity becomes more and more severe. When pneumothorax occurs, it is necessary to see whether the amount of gas entering the chest cavity is very large. If it is very large, the volume of the lung tissue will be compressed to very small, so that the lung will lose the function of exchanging oxygen, and the patient will be breathless. This situation needs to be dealt with.
In addition, there are pain-related complications caused by patients' pain intolerance. Some patients are very sensitive and experience unbearable pain even with local anesthesia, because the pain may cause other problems, so such patients do not cooperate well.
