What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a brain puncture

A diagnostic technique in which a puncture needle is inserted into the body cavity to extract secretions for testing, gas or contrast agent is injected into the body cavity for angiographic examination, or drugs are injected into the body cavity. The commonly used puncture procedures are as follows: ① brain or spinal cord cavity puncture. These include subdural, ventricular, cerebrovascular and lumbar puncture procedures. ② Thoracotomy. These include pleural cavity and pericardium. ③ Abdominal cavity and organ puncture. These include abdominal, liver, kidney, bladder, and uterine puncture. ④ Bone marrow biopsy. There are iliac puncture, spinous process puncture and thoracic puncture. (5) Lymph node biopsy. ⑥ Joint cavity puncture. ⑦ Blood vessel puncture. Common ones are femoral artery puncture, femoral venipuncture and subclavian venipuncture. The purpose is to draw blood for testing, transfusion, infusion and catheterization for angiography
