Small central benign tumors can be removed by bronchoscopy, laser and other methods. Radical surgery, such as lobectomy or pneumonectomy, may be the only necessary option in exceptional circumstances. If the possibility of benign tumor is considered before the operation, and more lung tissue needs to be removed during the operation, frozen pathological biopsy should be performed first. After the benign tumor is confirmed, lung tissue should be preserved as much as possible. Most benign lung tumors have slow growth characteristics and have no effect on lung function. If the lung function is poor or other physical conditions are difficult to bear thoracotomy, close observation can be performed. Under general circumstances conservative treatment is rarely effective, to the possible or had complications, should be operated as soon as possible, so as not to produce irreversible damage of lung parenchyma.
