1. Push the needle

Before egg retrieval surgery, it is necessary to stimulate ovulation, and controlled ovulation is used to enhance and improve ovarian function, so that multiple healthy and mature eggs can be obtained at the right time, thus ensuring the possibility of multiple healthy embryos.

2. Follicle monitoring

In order to achieve the best condition for the egg retrieval operation, it is necessary to monitor ovulation by means of B-ultrasound during ovulation induction, and record the development of follicles, the number and size of follicles in detail, and prepare for the smooth operation of the egg retrieval operation.

3. Preparation before egg retrieval

Mature follicles were confirmed before operation. After the patient emptied the bladder, the lithotomy position was taken, and the vulva and vagina were routinely disinfected and draped.

4. Surgical operation

Put the sterile vaginal probe into the vagina, detect the ovaries and mature follicles in the fornix, fix the probe on the puncture site, make the mature follicles on the puncture guide line and measure the depth of needle insertion. Under the guidance of transvaginal ultrasound, the puncture needle was inserted into the follicle through the vagina and fornix. When the puncture needle reaches the surface of the follicle, after a short pause, moderate force and acceleration should be applied to quickly penetrate the puncture needle into the follicular cavity.

5. Egg retrieval

Confirm that the needle tip is in the follicular cavity, turn on the negative pressure suction device, and aspirate the follicular fluid until the follicle collapses. After the follicular fluid of one follicle is exhausted, the needle is inserted into the adjacent larger follicle. If the number of dominant follicles is less than 4-5, or there are many immature follicles, a double-lumen oocyte retrieval needle should be used, and culture can be used if necessary. Flush the follicular cavity several times with fluid and repeatedly suction 2-3 times. If the number of dominant follicles exceeds 4-5, a single-lumen oocyte retrieval needle can be used. Double-lumen oocyte retrieval needles should be used instead, and each follicle should be washed 2-3 times with culture medium to obtain more eggs and avoid loss.

6. Routine pelvic scan after surgery

After the egg is retrieved, a B-ultrasound should be done to check for internal bleeding and the thickness of the endometrium. After the operation, dry gauze should be used to wipe off the blood in the vagina. If there is bleeding at the puncture site, a veil should be placed for two hours and then removed, and the patient should rest in bed for three hours. After the intravenous infusion, as long as there is no abnormality in the body, you can go home to rest and wait for the embryo transfer.
