1. Use of closed indwelling needle

1) Connect the infusion set to the infusion solution and hang it on the infusion rack, exhaust air, open the catheter needle, pack the heparin cap or positive pressure connector, and wear gloves.

2) Select blood vessels. The pulse band was pressed 10cm above the puncture point, and local skin was disinfected according to routine procedures and left to dry.

3) Take out the catheter needle, remove the needle sleeve, and turn the needle center to make the needle bevel upward. Connect the indwelling needle with the heparin cap, and insert the tip of the syringe needle into the heparin cap (after draining all the air from the indwelling needle, insert the needle into the heparin cap). If the positive pressure connector is used, remove the needle, connect the infusion set to the positive pressure connector, drain all the air in the indwelling needle, and close the infusion set switch.

4) Puncture at an Angle of 15-30 ° between the needle and the skin. After blood return, lower the Angle and push the needle 0.2 ~ 0.5cm to puncture. Ask the patient to make a fist, tighten the skin with the left hand, and clamp the protective wing of the catheter needle with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand. Fixed the catheter needle with the right hand, pulled out the needle center 0.5 ~ 1cm with the left hand, put all the external cannula into the vein with the left hand, relaxed the pressure of the pulse zone, and asked the patient to loosen the fist.

5) Draw out the needle center, fix the catheter needle with special application, write the patient's name, indwelling date and time on the application, fix the indwelling needle with adhesive tape (note that the extension tube should be higher than the puncture site), and then fix the catheter and remove the pressure band.

6) Remove the gloves, check again, record the time, drip speed and sign on the infusion card. Adjust infusion speed according to doctor's advice and condition.

2. Use of open indwelling needle

Open needle without extension tube, when using, turn the needle core, the needles Pierce the skin, after seeing h. reduce puncture Angle, the needle core pull out a little, then outer casing into the vein, one hand gently holding the vein puncture, to reduce the monthly bleeding, pull out the needle core with another hand, connect the heparin cap indwelling needle, with transparent material to cover the puncture point, tape fixed infusion needle. The rest is the same as the use of the closed indwelling needle.
