Many parents regard waist wear as marrow fluid, afraid of hurting the child's vitality, the child will become stupid. Such misgivings are unnecessary. The full name for lumbar puncture is a lumbar puncture, in which the needle is inserted into the spinal cord rather than the bone marrow. The human spine is made up of slightly rounded vertebrae stacked together, leaving a gap between the two vertebrae through which the needle goes in. Inside the long spine is a tube called the spinal canal or lumen, in which fluid is constantly flowing. The tube runs through the brain, so the fluid is called cerebrospinal fluid. The amount of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in adults is about 140-180 ml, and in infants less. Cerebrospinal fluid comes from body fluids and is connected to blood, but unlike blood, cells in blood cannot enter the CSF, so it normally looks clear and colorless. When there is bleeding or inflammation in the brain, blood cells are seen in the cerebrospinal fluid and proteins are elevated.
