Symptoms of brachial plexus block puncture needle injury
Dec 07, 2022
Generally speaking, the brachial plexus nerve is composed of cervical 5-8 and thoracic 1. The nerve roots are mainly distributed in the upper limbs, and some small branches can be divided into the thoracic muscles, the dorsal superficial muscles and the neck extensor muscles. The main branches have the thoracic dorsal nerve, the thoracic long nerve, the axillary nerve, the median nerve, the radial nerve, the ulnar nerve and so on. There will be partial or complete loss of upper limb function, total brachial plexus injury, total paralysis of the affected upper limb, and severe pain. Mri and EMG should be performed as soon as possible to determine the specific condition and then aggressive treatment.
