Surgical thread embedding

Puncture needle embedding method: routinely sterilize the local skin, take a piece of sterilized catgut with a length of about 1 to 2 cm, place it at the front end of the lumbar puncture needle, connect the needle core, and tighten or lift the left thumb and forefinger into the lumbar puncture needle. The skin at the needle site, hold the needle in the right hand, and pierce the needle to the required depth. When the needle feels, push the needle core while withdrawing the needle tube, bury the catgut in the subcutaneous tissue or muscle layer of the acupoint, and apply the needle at the needle hole. Cover with sterile gauze. A 9-gauge injection needle can also be used as a cannula, a 28-gauge 2-inch long filigree needle is cut off for the core, and 1-1.5 cm of 00-gauge catgut is placed in the needle and buried in the acupoint. The operation method is the same as before. When using a special thread-embedding needle, after local skin disinfection, use 0.5-1% procaine hydrochloride as infiltration anesthesia, cut a section of catgut (about 1 cm long), and put it on the notch of the thread-embedding needle tip. Both ends are clamped with vascular forceps, the needle is held in the right hand, and the forceps are held in the left hand, and the needle tip is pierced downward at a direction of 15° to 40°. The ball or gauze compresses the pinhole for a moment, and then covers the wound with gauze.
