Puncture techniques for patients with dehydration and shock with disposable intravenous indwelling needle
Dec 10, 2021
Shock and severe dehydration result in blood concentration, impaired circulation and reduced elasticity of vessels. Although veins are visible to the naked eye, puncture is difficult. Before venipecture, hot compress should be applied to the local area to improve the degree of intravascular congestion. After the blood vessels are filled, the method of lifting and slowly entering the needle is adopted. After inserting the needle, first lift the needle upward along the blood vessel and walk slowly from shallow to deep into the lumen. When blood is returned, a small amount of liquid can be slowly injected. At this time, it is not appropriate to relax the compression.
