Hypodermic needle injection

Dec 09, 2021

A small amount of liquid medicine is injected into the subcutaneous tissue. The difference between intradermal injection and intradermal injection is that it is injected into the skin; Hypodermic injections go through the skin, between the skin and the muscle. Thus, subcutaneous injection needle is deeper than intradermal injection, the Angle is slightly larger, and the skin surface is about 45 degrees Angle, the needle is also slightly larger. What conditions require subcutaneous injections?

① Need to quickly achieve the effect of the drug or drugs can not be used orally, such as insulin, adrenaline, etc.;

② Local anesthesia for the operation;

③ Vaccination, such as measles vaccine, varicella attenuated vaccine, meningitis polysaccharide vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, b vaccine, rubella vaccine, mumps vaccine, etc. Subcutaneous injection is usually performed on the upper arm, and also on the outer thigh or abdomen if necessary. For example, for diabetic patients who need lifelong insulin injection, only injection on the upper arm is not enough, so the outer thigh or abdomen is added and the injection takes turns.
