How to obtain specimens from percutaneous lung puncture needle

1) Mark the best puncture point on the body surface and perform local infiltration anesthesia. Note that anesthesia should reach the pleural layer to avoid pleural anaphylaxis in a few patients.

(2) Break the skin with a thick needle, then select a special fine needle without needle core of appropriate type and length, connect a special 30ml syringe, and quickly reach the lesion under the guidance of X-ray. The arrival of the lesion was judged by the movement of the lesion observed at the time of insertion or by the feel of the needle when it was inserted into the lesion. Patients were asked to hold their breath or try their best to keep calm breathing. Immediately, the puncture needle was rotated in the lesion or pricked and inserted 0.5 ~ 1cm back and forth under negative pressure suction in order to loosen the tissue and obtain more specimens. After negative pressure suction, the needle was decompressed and removed. It is emphasized that decompression should be performed in the lesion and slight negative pressure should be maintained for needle extraction, as there is no blood in the syringe syringe.

(3) The specimen was smeared immediately, put into ethanol ether fixative solution, sent for rapid staining, and cytological examination. Histopathological examination can be performed if there are small strips of tissue.

(4) Compress the puncture point for a moment and cover it with sterile dressing.
